Inazuma International Team Selection - Australia

Next up in this series of compiling the best combined international team for Inazuma Eleven is Australia, another team with three appearances being Big Waves in the original FFI, Big Waves in FFIV2 and Shining Satan’s in Orion’s FFI. Much like Korea the lack of defenders doing anything means it’s a 3 at the back but this time in a 3-4-3 diamond formation. Unlike Korea where the midfield and attack picked itself this team has a notified absence in midfield being Holly Summers of the original Big Waves who used the Hissatsu Kangaroo Kick against Kogure during his respective match. With it being a midfield 4 and all 3 of Australia’s captains being midfielders it left one spot open, I’ll go into why I picked the 4th midfielder I did when I reach them.

GK: Jean Baker (Big Waves)
As with Korea, Australia has 3 goalkeepers to choose from. Jean Baker from Big Waves, Pazuzu Zahman of Shining Satans and Jude Gordon of Big Waves GO. I chose Jean as he was simply the best keeper of the three. Pazuzu conceded five goals and Jude conceded a very sloppy miss hit shot from Manabe due to his poor decision making to rush out. Jude used Great Barrier Reef to stop Wolf Legend and Bakunestsu Storm both which were presented as powerful shots the season before.

CB: Herman Beaumont (Big Waves GO)
I had a massive issue with Australia and its defenders, simply put a lot do nothing so have no way to gauge how good they are. Australia focused mainly on its midfield players throughout the country’s appearances in the show. Herman makes it into the team due to his good chemistry and interplay with Hall Ailes mainly in two points with a double block on Tsurugi and then combining to at least try to stop Parkour Attack.

CB: Hall Ailes (Big Waves GO)As above with Herman, with how the Australian defenders do not do a lot it wouldn’t make sense to praise Herman to his work in defence with Hall and then not being Hall into the team himself. These two showed a good chemistry in defence alongside each other so would make sense to continue that into this side.

CB: Daniel Barrack (Big Waves)
The final one of the back three team is the first to use a Hissatsu in Gravestone against Midorikawa. This was all that was really needed as the only Australian defender to use a Hissatsu meant he was an easy pick to use at the back.

CDM: Nice Dolphin (Big Waves)
At the base of the midfield is Nice Dolphin. The captain of Big Waves doesn’t use a hissatsu technique however as the captain of his team leads it in their tactic Box Lock Defence which as a defensive move it makes sense to have him back up the back three in the role of defensive midfielder.

CM: Cole LaRuze (Big Waves GO)
The second of three Australian captains and part of the central midfield partnership is Cole LaRuze. Scoring twice with Megalodon to get the only goals for Big Waves GO. While also being part of the Suck Out technique there’s more than enough justification to have him as one of the central midfield pairing.

CM: Luci Fanos (Shining Satans)
As seen with characters using hissatsu techniques they will normally get in, except for Holly Summers who doesn’t make the starting 11 and Luci Fanos does instead. While he has no hissatsu his knife shoe and time in the game was impactful. It was said by Li Yuchen taking him out was one of the main requirements for Japan to win showing how key of a player Luci is.

CAM: Satan Gaul (Shining Satans) (Captain)
Satan is by far the best Australian player in Inazuma Eleven history bar none. Scoring four goals, captaining his side and being a Disciple of Orion as well he stands as one of the most threatening players of the Asian prelims Satan carried his team pretty much on his own for the majority of the game and his impact makes him and easy choice to be captain of this team as well.

ST: Octa Pasun (ST) (Big Waves GO)
Moving onto the front three strikers with the first being Octa Pasun from Big Waves GO, while he didn’t score, he did use Megalodon during the match with Inazuma Japan, seeing as only a few strikers for Australia use hissatsu Octa makes it in pretty easy.

ST: Sar Gatanas (Shining Satans)
This slot could’ve to either As Taroth or Sar Gatanas, with both being strikers not scoring a goal in their game but also Disciples of Orion. The reason I went with Gatanas over Taroth (after much debate) is due to him leading the Hissatsu tactic Invisible which was a big part of Australia initial tactics to kick the game off which is why he gets in over as Taroth.

ST: Joe Jones (Big Waves)
The final player of this Australian eleven is Joe Jones, the Big Waves front man opened to scoring in their match with Inazuma Japan with Megalodon. It is the first goal of the original FFI tournament, as one of three Australian players to score a goal in the series and the only forward to do so Joe Jones was an easy selection for this team.

As with Korea I have got a list of seven players to make up the substitutes bench, while these players don’t have any specific requirements both Holly Summers and As Taroth both nearly made the team for reasons stated above.
  1. Pazuzu Zaham (GK) (Shining Satans)
  2. Agalia Rept (RB/CB) (Shining Satans)
  3. David Waterman (LB/CB) (Big Waves
  4. Holly Summers (CM) (Big Waves)
  5. Marsha Ark (CM/CAM) (Big Waves GO)
  6. Beelze Bub (RM/RW) (Shining Satans)
  7. As Taroth (ST) (Shining Satans)

And finally, please see below the tactics laid out as to how this team would look as a full team sheet.

When it came to this team it came together quite quickly, I had a lot of tougher choices then I thought I would have when I started this, looking at the team all players offer something different, while I see the Korean team as stronger this team would certainly be a team to contend with.
