Bryan Intihar the Senior Creative Director at Insomniac Games has seemingly set a lot of minds racing with the below comments regarding the easter egg of the eviction notice for Nelson & Murdock law firm. With this I starting to think could we see Daredevil in the DLC for Spider-Man 2. With a lack of real announcements it makes me think something big is coming and a big hook to get people to buy. What if instead of a big villain we start to introduce Daredevil and characters around him as a backdoor pilot. I believe there's an unannounced Insomniac Marvel game which might be a Defenders game but would rather it just be Daredevil. I wanted to break down how I think this could be done as I think it has great potential to be told over a three part DLC which could raise hype and get a Daredevil solo game into development. Spider-Man 2's release date has come and gone with many people beating the game getting the Platinum Trophy (much like myself) and now just unsure of the next move while I wait for any DLC announcement. What it leads to is my mind thinking on what could be next in this game series, the back of my mind I think that Spider-Man 3 could be the end (which would be dumb if it's making a lot of money) and with Wolverine and the potential for a Venom game before hand I did wonder who we could see in this universe. I think Spider-Man 3 has a lot of potential so wanted to run down some the Spider-Man adjacent characters we are likely to see in a Spider-Man 3 down the line and others who I think have a good shout. Spoilers for All Insomnaic Spider-Man games With the release of the thrid game in Insomnaic's Spider-Man series in 2023s Spider-Man 2 I found myself loving the universe created even more. Everything with this iteration of Spider-Man feels fresh and interesting and I couldn't quite figure out why. That was until it really hit me, has any Spider-Man iteration had Miles Morales become and then be established as Spider-Man before we even get the Green Goblin? It don't think so, even in Spider-Verse we saw that universe had a Green Goblin already established. It was thinking on this and other actions taken by Insomnaic and how I think it benefits them.  Obviously, a lot of established parts do remain. Peter Parker & Mary-Jane Watson end together, Uncle Ben has died, Peter is stuggling for money and to keep a job. With Spider-Man two now set for an October 2023 release for Playstation 5 it will get people myself thinking about what characters will be added to the mythos of past games. While I looked at this years ago here I wanted to have another look now we have an idea of the story and we know that we will see Venom, Lizard & Kraven the Hunter as well as Yuri becomming Wraith but beyond the identity of Venom (my money is still on Harry Osborn) I do think some big reveals and surprises will be saved for launch. I want to go over a few character we could see introduced or at least teased for future released.  Gwen Stacy/Spider-Gwen/Ghost-Spider Starting off wit ha character I feel is very likely to be introduced. Spoilers for God of War 2018 & God of War Ragnarok to follow Having just finished God of War Ragnarok I have been wondering what can the series go. After God of War 2018 I thought we would be getting a Norse trilogy which I do not think is the case anymore. I wanted to look at how God of War Ragnarok sets up any potential future for the series. You could say Ragnarok is the end of the series it wraps up this story well but with sales figures for the game booming you can bet we will get another game. It broke records, it won awards (well deserved for Christopher Judge and his performance as Kratos) it is almost guaranteed we will get another game.  So where is the world of God of War now. Odin is dead, Thor is dead, Asgard has fallen and Loki is off on his own adventure to find his people, the lost giants. A lot has changed in the realms and with that they seem peaceful. Kratos becomes a God worshiped by the realms but what now? I don't think it is a controversial take to say No...

This was meant to be uploaded in December 2021 but for some reason never did. Please take that into consideration when reading. Personally to me Miles Morales is a more engaging Spider-Man overall then Peter Parker. Maybe it's a recency bias or just the face I loved into the Spider-Verse but Miles feels like such a good character unique enough that he doesn't fall into the massive shadow a character like Peter Parker would have. However, the one issue I have is the Spider-Man mythos doesn't have a lot for Miles to call his own. Antagonists like The Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus etc are all associated with Peter Parker it makes more sense when you look at how the Miles Morales game created a new version of The Tinkerer in Phin Mason (a younger gender swapped version of the original Phineas Mason which I think they should incorporate into the comics) instead of being able to pull a ready made villain. Compare that to the Sinister Six from the first Spider-Man game all classic ...

One of the games I recently got hooked into and played through was Ghost of Tsushima. The story (spoilers) follows Jin Sakai who looks to protect his island of Tsushima from a Mongol invasion which he cannot do through traditional samurai methods which eventually gives him the nickname 'The Ghost' as a samurai spirit risen against the Mongols and while his actions betray the samurai code by the end of the game he accepts this and being the ghost which while he leads the final charge to kills the Khan of the Mongol invasions makes him and enemy of the Japanese shogun but a hero to the people of Tsushima as he did what the samurai couldn't. In the end Jin Sakai has his clan disbanded and enemy of the samurai and a man who has come to terms with the fact all he believed and followed. It's a tragic tale full of great action and a trend of the games I really love on PlayStation recently it's a sole player campaign based on emotion and the characters and the world around...

I fully accept I am probably the only person who will be commenting on this. Now I know what you are thinking looking at the title and it probably is 'no' and I understand that trust me I feel the same way. However, I do wonder if they could look to revive the series in the wake of more console exclusives the last few years. It's no secret that a lot of people do not like how matches are done in PlayStation All-Stars and I do not blame them, it is a slog with games having the potential to go on for far too long. I do wonder if in a way to differentiate themselves gameplay wise from Smash Bros they went too far. Smash is a fun formula while you can tweak what you need to be different you do not need to overcomplicate it.
