Bryan Intihar the Senior Creative Director at Insomniac Games has seemingly set a lot of minds racing with the below comments regarding the easter egg of the eviction notice for Nelson & Murdock law firm. With this I starting to think could we see Daredevil in the DLC for Spider-Man 2. With a lack of real announcements it makes me think something big is coming and a big hook to get people to buy. What if instead of a big villain we start to introduce Daredevil and characters around him as a backdoor pilot. I believe there's an unannounced Insomniac Marvel game which might be a Defenders game but would rather it just be Daredevil. I wanted to break down how I think this could be done as I think it has great potential to be told over a three part DLC which could raise hype and get a Daredevil solo game into development. Spider-Man 2's release date has come and gone with many people beating the game getting the Platinum Trophy (much like myself) and now just unsure of the next move while I wait for any DLC announcement. What it leads to is my mind thinking on what could be next in this game series, the back of my mind I think that Spider-Man 3 could be the end (which would be dumb if it's making a lot of money) and with Wolverine and the potential for a Venom game before hand I did wonder who we could see in this universe. I think Spider-Man 3 has a lot of potential so wanted to run down some the Spider-Man adjacent characters we are likely to see in a Spider-Man 3 down the line and others who I think have a good shout. Spoilers for All Insomnaic Spider-Man games With the release of the thrid game in Insomnaic's Spider-Man series in 2023s Spider-Man 2 I found myself loving the universe created even more. Everything with this iteration of Spider-Man feels fresh and interesting and I couldn't quite figure out why. That was until it really hit me, has any Spider-Man iteration had Miles Morales become and then be established as Spider-Man before we even get the Green Goblin? It don't think so, even in Spider-Verse we saw that universe had a Green Goblin already established. It was thinking on this and other actions taken by Insomnaic and how I think it benefits them.  Obviously, a lot of established parts do remain. Peter Parker & Mary-Jane Watson end together, Uncle Ben has died, Peter is stuggling for money and to keep a job. With Spider-Man two now set for an October 2023 release for Playstation 5 it will get people myself thinking about what characters will be added to the mythos of past games. While I looked at this years ago here I wanted to have another look now we have an idea of the story and we know that we will see Venom, Lizard & Kraven the Hunter as well as Yuri becomming Wraith but beyond the identity of Venom (my money is still on Harry Osborn) I do think some big reveals and surprises will be saved for launch. I want to go over a few character we could see introduced or at least teased for future released.  Gwen Stacy/Spider-Gwen/Ghost-Spider Starting off wit ha character I feel is very likely to be introduced. Spider-Gwen is a very popular character and one I feel has ton of spinoff potential. This was meant to be uploaded in December 2021 but for some reason never did. Please take that into consideration when reading. Personally to me Miles Morales is a more engaging Spider-Man overall then Peter Parker. Maybe it's a recency bias or just the face I loved into the Spider-Verse but Miles feels like such a good character unique enough that he doesn't fall into the massive shadow a character like Peter Parker would have. However, the one issue I have is the Spider-Man mythos doesn't have a lot for Miles to call his own. Antagonists like The Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus etc are all associated with Peter Parker it makes more sense when you look at how the Miles Morales game created a new version of The Tinkerer in Phin Mason (a younger gender swapped version of the original Phineas Mason which I think they should incorporate into the comics) instead of being able to pull a ready made villain. Spoilers for Spider-Man No Way Home and potential spoilers for Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness and other future Marvel shows and films  Marvel Phase four finally got a kick in the right direction. While I really enjoyed Shang-Chi a so so Black Widow film and the divisiveness of The Eternals meant that we were for sure on a comedown from Endgame film wise and that was always going to be the case. Ignoring what are smaller stories for the TV shows (which I do enjoy all of them some more then others) the big screen . However, following Spider-Man No Way Home I think people will be changing their mind on it. While the story and characters of Shang-Chi shouldn't be slept on Spider-Man brings a big concept to the big screen in the multiverse.  Between the villains and the Spider-Men of the Sam Raimi and Mark Webb universes we are moving ahead with another massive idea one which can raise the half universe ending stakes of Thanos in Multiversal domination. All it takes is 2 minutes to get speculation going surrounding a game. The PlayStation Showcase had games I wanted to see and while Spider-Man 2 comes out in 2023 I am happy to see it announced. Quality will always trump quantity so I can wait a year. However, we will continue to wildly speculate about how this game will go. We have very little to go on so far and all me know is Peter is getting some Ock arms on his suit I think Miles has a slight redesign on his costume and we get Venom and at least one other villains. So for the moment we can only guess and guessing is the best way to write posts.  Between the verbiage of the mysterious voice wanting one of either of the Spider-Men and Venom to give them what they want and I feel that Kraven the Hunter is the most likely man behind the voice and is looking for the head which will make him the world's greatest hunter seeing the exploits of the Spider-Men it gives him that opportunity. Having got and finished playing Spider-Man Miles Morales over the festive period it feels like we can accept Insomniac Studios know what they are doing. Again a strong character driven story set in this universe they have crafted has been a success and set up their Spider-Man 2 games whenever that comes out to be a big story and no doubt success. I found myself hooked into the story of Miles in this game and how he grew as a character from unsure of himself to becoming his own Spider-Man by the end. While the story is smaller in scale and I felt The Tinkerer was a step down from Doc Ock and the Sinister Six that was to be expected. Regardless it has me thinking to the future of this game series.
