AEW TBS Title: A Good Secondary Singles Belt or Should it be Tag?

News broke recently of AEW’s plans to introduce a secondary women’s title belt taking the name of the network for Dynamite from 2022 in TBS it would act as the divisions own TNT title and while it seems likely it would operate on a similar level to to that title it had many people thinking. Is a secondary singles title the way to go or should AEW be focusing on Women’s Tag Titles. I wanted to go into detail my opinion on the situation and what my preference for a new belt for the women’s division would be. It’s important to note first of all that the AEW women’s division did have a secondary title for a good portion of last year with the NWA Women’s Championship. While Serena Deeb was champion the belt was defended multiple times on Dynamite and was even used as the match to hook people in on the buy ins for Pay Per Views most notably with Serena’s match against Riho (which you know let’s run that back sometime). I think this is a good example of how to use the belt anchor it around a

Spider-Man 2 PS5: Hopes and Expectations

All it takes is 2 minutes to get speculation going surrounding a game. The PlayStation Showcase had games I wanted to see and while Spider-Man 2 comes out in 2023 I am happy to see it announced. Quality will always trump quantity so I can wait a year. However, we will continue to wildly speculate about how this game will go. We have very little to go on so far and all me know is Peter is getting some Ock arms on his suit I think Miles has a slight redesign on his costume and we get Venom and at least one other villains. So for the moment we can only guess and guessing is the best way to write posts.  Between the verbiage of the mysterious voice wanting one of either of the Spider-Men and Venom to give them what they want and I feel that Kraven the Hunter is the most likely man behind the voice and is looking for the head which will make him the world's greatest hunter seeing the exploits of the Spider-Men it gives him that opportunity. Maybe you can loosely build on Kraven's la

Why I Stopped Watching WWE

If you have been reading a lot of what I put on here regarding wrestling its mostly glowing praise of AEW and whenever I mention WWE its mostly complaints. In the spirit of a recent trademark filed by WWE I guess 'complaining is not conversation' so let's have that conversation. I stopped watching WWE regularly years ago and if it wasn't for AEW I most likely wouldn't be watching wrestling at least on a constant basis seeing just parts of New Japan would be it. I wanted to break down why I don't watch anymore. Ignoring the fact I don't have BT Sport so couldn't watch in the UK whenever I have tried to watch PPVs I borrow someone's Network account so I am disconnected from the product as you can be I'd have to go out of my way to watch the show and I just don't want to. Why should I care for a wrestling show where it doesn't matter for large part who wins. I've always been a wins and losses matter how am I suppose to care if a man has

Quick Thoughts: AEW All Out 2021

AEW is a company going places, ranking top of its demo ratings, getting a new show on Fridays doing the same, bringing CM Punk back, making Triple H cry it's all good stuff. All Out comes at a time where it needs to be a good show to continue to upward swing of momentum AEW has had since crowds have some back. Breaking it down match by match I wanted to see if they were able to continue the wave a great matches and moments (spoiler they did). Buy In: Best Friends & Jurassic Express vs. The Hardy Family Office A lot addition to the card with PAC and Andrade not being able to take place at the PPV. This was a fund buy in match wit ha bunch of over guys to help build on a TV feud. Really did enjoy the line of submissions but I do wonder what the HFO will do about the tag belts with The Butcher back and having 3 teams. Regardless the right team won interested to see where Best Friends vs. HFO goes from here.  TNT Championship Match: Miro (c) vs. Eddie Kingston   A great physical ma

Why Changing How AEW Dark is Taped is a Major Benefit

What is AEW Dark doing in the Impact Zone?  The first words that came to mind to me with the news that AEW Dark tapings will be moved to Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida, the former home of IMPACT Wrestling and WCW Worldwide in order to ease the Wednesday tapings for AEW. A smart move to not tire out those in attendance with mass tapings as most weeks see Elevation taped before Dynamite and Rampage after it I don't think a lot of people want to be at mass tapings that might end up 5 hours. AEW Dark has proved a useful show for AEW through the pandemic allowing for independent talent to work but also be used as a scouting tool. A lot of the talents on the AEW roster came though losing matches on Dark such as Red Velvet, Powerhouse Hobbs, Shawn Dean & Lee Johnson, The Varsity Blondes and The Acclaimed to name a few it has allowed for talent to develop and find their footing as well.  Not only does moving AEW Dark to a different taping format away from the rest of the shows g

Can American Wrestling Sustain a Third Major Company?

When everything is said and done September 1st 2018 and All In will go down as a pivotal date in American wrestling. For me it is up there with July 7th 1996 (Hogan is the third man), November 9th 1997 (the Montreal Screwjob) & March 26th 2001 (WWE purchases WCW) as some of the key dates which had a long standing effect and change the landscape of American wrestling. Without All In we do not get AEW and the kick that has given wrestling. We have seen only recently with the return of CM Punk after 7 years as well as WWE changing NXT and its whole outlook for hiring talents shift completely and I imagine this is only the beginning due to certain rumblings in the wrestling world.    Rumours have circulated about a new third 'major' wrestling promotion coming to America. Between Jeff Jarrett dropping vague hints about a new promotion on his podcast and reports of this promotion being interested in signing up recently released talents in the wake of WWE's recent 'budget

Should Sony Attempt a New PlayStation All-Stars?

I fully accept I am probably the only person who will be commenting on this. Now I know what you are thinking looking at the title and it probably is 'no' and I understand that trust me I feel the same way. However, I do wonder if they could look to revive the series in the wake of more console exclusives the last few years. It's no secret that a lot of people do not like how matches are done in PlayStation All-Stars and I do not blame them, it is a slog with games having the potential to go on for far too long. I do wonder if in a way to differentiate themselves gameplay wise from Smash Bros they went too far. Smash is a fun formula while you can tweak what you need to be different you do not need to overcomplicate it. Look at the 3 ring 60 man mess WCWs World World 3 was to the WWEs Royal Rumble two shows with highlight multi man over the top rope encounters normally main eventing it's just a case of refining a concept so it stands out for you but is easy to pick up b
