Anime Rework - Inazuma Eleven Orion Part Three: Football Frontier Intentional Tournament Knockout Round

In what will be the final part of this series I will finish off what I would do for Inazuma Eleven Orion. Again this is just effectively a different story right now. If you want a recap of Ares up to the group stage of Orion please follow the links below:  Ares:  https://ramblingsofenglishman.blogspot.com/2020/05/anime-rework-inazuma-eleven-ares.html Orion Part One:  https://ramblingsofenglishman.blogspot.com/2020/07/anime-rework-inazuma-eleven-orion.html Orion Part Two:  https://ramblingsofenglishman.blogspot.com/2020/12/anime-rework-inazuma-eleven-orion-part.html   As we left last time the knockout round had been rearranged so that Japan takes on France. To start this we are introduced to Nathan the French captain who comes to visit Japan. It's a peaceful visit and we are also reintroduced to Clario Orvan the captain of Spain finally seen since the first part of Ares. They talk with the main 4 from Japan about how they are the only non Orion teams left in the tournament. While Na

Hopes and Expectations: Ghost of Tsushima 2

One of the games I recently got hooked into and played through was Ghost of Tsushima. The story (spoilers) follows Jin Sakai who looks to protect his island of Tsushima from a Mongol invasion which he cannot do through traditional samurai methods which eventually gives him the nickname 'The Ghost' as a samurai spirit risen against the Mongols and while his actions betray the samurai code by the end of the game he accepts this and being the ghost which while he leads the final charge to kills the Khan of the Mongol invasions makes him and enemy of the Japanese shogun but a hero to the people of Tsushima as he did what the samurai couldn't. In the end Jin Sakai has his clan disbanded and enemy of the samurai and a man who has come to terms with the fact all he believed and followed. It's a tragic tale full of great action and a trend of the games I really love on PlayStation recently it's a sole player campaign based on emotion and the characters and the world around

Quick Thoughts: AEW Full Gear 2021

We are back at the final Pay Per View (PPV) of All Elite Wrestling (AEW) for the year. In a way having four PPVs is a good thing it builds hype but man I want more and hopefully the addition of a special Saturday TNT special once a quarter in 2022 will help placate my needs. This years Full Gear was very much centred around the journey of Hangman Adam Page to the main event of the show and the world title and while the show had a tremendous line up I knew going into it my final thought on the show would be clouded by the result of that match one way or another such was mine and a lot of other peoples want for Hangman to win the belt. With that said as normal let's break the card down match by match. Buy In: Hikaru Shida & Thunder Rosa vs. Jamie Hayter & Nyla Rose The buy in match was used this time around to highlight some of the matches in the AEW TBS title tournament in Hikaru Shida vs. Nyla Rose and Thunder Rosa vs. Jamie Hayter which I feel was a smart move and it helps

Baseless Pitch: A New Yakuza Spin Off

On a previous post I mentioned about spin offs for the Yakuza series. After some deliberation I wanted to take a spin of writing up what I felt would be a good idea for a Yakuza spin off. I wanted to go over how the game would work, what combat would be used, some of the characters and a brief overview of the plot.  One thing I wanted to do with this was use elements from both the Yakuza and Judgement series be it setting or characters there's a lot of things that can be used in the series we haven't seen or used for a while which can really help not create everything from scratch (plus some good old nostalgia bait to boost sales never hurt). While I will go over the plot a bit later I would want this spin off to focus around Tianyou Zhao and the Yokohama Liumang. This was mainly due to Zhao being one of my favourite characters in Like a Dragon and the Liumang being an interesting group one with enough depth behind the scenes and what we haven't seen to develop into a game

Can The Yakuza Franchise Sustain Another Spin-Off?

Whether fans of Ryu Ga Gotoku (RGG) Studios know it or not Judgement broke a lot of ground for the Yakuza franchise as a whole. It is the only canon spin off to get a western release. While Dead Souls has it isn't exactly canon to the rest of the series with Kenzan, Ishin and the 2 games of the Kurohyou: Ryū ga Gotoku series never saw release outside of Japan. Yagami and co have shown something in that the appeal for games in this universe are wanted.  This has got me thinking after finishing Lost Judgement what if RGG looked to the franchise to see if there was room in the world they have created for more? Kiryu & Ichiban as characters and stories vary a lot from Yagami and while both deal with the Tojo Clan and various criminal enterprises and schemes they are very much different characters (well all three of them are). Kiryu is a legendary figure who's stature is built up to that of legend, Ichiban is a caring individual not afraid to express emotion who feels the streng
