Ramblings of an Englishman

I should preface this by saying this is more me talking about a game than a rigid essay or have a real structure to it like any past writing of mine. It’s been a long time coming I was over the moon when Fire Emblem came through my post box on Friday July 26th, I had waited a long time for this game to come and I wasn’t disappointed, all Fire Emblem games I’ve played I have enjoyed mainly for the characters in them, I looked up the houses beforehand and decided to select The Black Eagles as I see online I was in the majority, again as ever characters are the strength of a Fire Emblem game, seeing the evolution of them all is great to see, I love the quirks and personality of each character in that house that all feel different makes speaking to each one different and enjoyable. The addition of a full voice cast helps to sell this more then other games. With San Diego Comic Con happening it was the perfect time for Marvel to announce their next slate of movies. The Infinity Saga is now done allowing Marvel to move on with some new and fresh ideas. I am to go through all of them to give my thoughts and excitement. But first of all I am really happy that Endgame is now the highest grossing film of all time. Even if it for a small moment in time it is a massive achievement for all at Marvel Studios and they deserve all the credit in creating a historic film such as this. Black Widow The next film for the MCU is the long awaited Black Widow film. I'm really looking forward to them expanding on the story to one of the original Avengers. The main thing I want to look into with this is the characters these movies and series will introduce Red Guardian, Yelena Belova and Taskmaster, that's a strong list a new characters to enhance this universe and Taskmaster is someone I have been hoping to see in the MCU for a while. AEW returned for their third PPV outing with Fight for the Fallen. First thing that struck me was how nice this set up looked. This is a unique venue which means that they couldn't use the full set up they have the previous set up but the whole venue and set up had a very WCW like feel. It's a different venue from what I am use to seeing from the majority of companies. However, while the action of the pre-show was good (and I'll dive into that in a bit) it suffered from a large number of technical issues between the signal dropping out and close captions appearing on screen throughout the majority of the women's pre-show match. While good this errors did not appear on the main show as well it is still a bad look for anyone looking to watch in the end. It should be stated the rest of the show lacked those production issues, thankfully. All Elite Wrestling returned to Pay Per View on 29th June 2019 for their second ever show entitled Fyter Fest, the main hook for this was the AEW debut of Jon Moxley against Joey Janela in what became an unsanctioned match. With this being the show following Double or Nothing it has a good amount of momentum to run with. The show had a 'B show' feel which i expect to carry on to Fight for the Fallen ready for All Out to be another major show. I went in expecting a good match card based on what was announced as well as some sort of announcement for Fight for the Fallen but overall the main aim to to continue the build for All Out. One quick side note, I felt that Goldenboy was a better third man commentator than Alex Marvez was at double or nothing, he seemed to add more to the commentary then Alex did at the previous show.
