Quick Thoughts: AEW Revolution 2022

The year 2022 is one that many feel will be a huge year for All Elite Wrestling. Three months in the owner has acquired the rights to Ring of Honor, they have new quarterly specials in 'Battle of the Belts' and as ever the roster continues to expand and grow with talents for now and a core of younger talents who will get their day at the mountain top in the future. One way to see where AEW are as a company is by their PPV outings and with that we have the first PPV of the year in Revolution.   The Buy-In Leyla Hirsch vs. Kris Statlander Kicking this mammoth show off was a match which really is the first big match since Leyla Hirsch's heel turn. This feud has been weird with babyface Statlander talking about how she can see why Hirsch's parents gave her up, what a babyface comment. Weird promos aside I thought this match was perfectly fine and while I saw surprised Leyla won it made sense when her match on Dynamite is taken into consideration. I do think Statlander is th

Tony Khan Buys Ring of Honour: What it Could Mean

March 2nd 2022 the wrestling world show another seismic shift. Tony Khan the founder, co-owner, president, and CEO of the All Elite Wrestling (AEW) announced on AEW's weekly flagship show Dynamite that he bought the rights to Ring of Honour after the issues with the company for the past while. With Tony Khan now operating both AEW & ROH I wanted to take a moment to have a look at what this can mean for the future of the ROH brand.  Above all else and I imagine the key interest was that of the tape library. 20 years worth of content which not only contains some of the best matches ever seen in professional wrestling but a lot of key moments for in the careers of many AEW roster members. From the original Summer of Punk to the evolution of the Young Bucks so many talents from AEW have passed through ROH so not only does this tape library make sense to hold for the content but the history for the roster they have. Even with ROH as a whole one of the key events as far as AEW is the

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet: Initial Thoughts and Hopes

Pokémon day brought with it the big news that in 2022 we will get Generation 9 (most likely in October/November) with the announcement of Pokémon Scarlet & Violet. While we hold very few details on the region itself speculation is rife so I thought why not join in on that fun. I want to break down my first thoughts on the region, new starters and other things we have seen to begin to get an idea of what to expect come the end of the year. I want to begin with the protagonists and their designs. It seems that this generation will dial back the cartoon like exaggerated features. The eyes have been shrunk on the protagonist face more resembling the characters from New Pokémon Snap then those from Sword and Shield. I do wonder if this is a change in the process when it comes to how expressive the players are. Will the protagonists have a wider range of expressions and movement? I remember Sun & Moon it felt that all the protagonist had was a nod and a shocked face so I wonder if we
